The staff gave us a warm and thoughtful welcome, taking the time to explain the hotel’s spaces and rules. The building itself feels like stepping back in time, with a slightly old-fashioned charm (in the best way!). Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Dinner was incredible - definitely one of the highlights of our trip. If you have the chance to experience a traditional kaiseki style dinner, please do it at Senkyoro! We really enjoyed the onsen, both the gender-separated baths and the private 45-minute session. The amenities and facilities, including the shampoos and other toiletries, were excellent. We also absolutely loved our traditional Japanese room. The staff took care of setting up and putting away the futons during dinner and breakfast, which made the experience feel extra special.

A beautiful way to enjoy Hakone region and discover the mont Fuji. I would describe staying here as an experience that goes beyond just an hotel. We stayed two nights in here and loved all the experience. The room is traditional and they turn it into bedroom at night: the beds are incredibly comfy. You wear traditional outfits to go eat and to the onsen. You can book private onsen (indoor or outdoor), we also had massage in our room which were done by Japanese and loved it . The meals are an amazing experience, although you have to prepare yourself for a lot of food and fish for breakfast. You can get a bus from the hotel or ask them to book taxis. The staff is so nice, even if they don’t really speak English but you find a way to communicate with them. Thank you for that beautiful experience and all your smiles.

Obsessed with this stay snd a true highlight of our trip. This stay is an experience in and of itself but the surrounding area is stunning as well. The staff were so kind and helpful, welcome tea being made in the room on arrival set the scene immediately, the breakfast was insane! We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived and did not want to leave. The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, it’s right next to the local bus stop, close to lots of sightseeing opportunities and local restaurants so you won’t be bored! The private and public baths were stunning.

The team is so professional and even though we don't speak Japanese, everything is well prepared and answered. The whole team has reflected a genuine Japanese style of hospitality which I really appreciated. A big kudos. Also given the ryokan is so historical, I can see every single details of the ryokan are so well maintained. It tells the craftsmanship of every single detail of the premises. I LOVE the garden and they way they respect the trees and plants. Landscaping is excellent and feel so relaxed being there.

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional. They unloaded our car, took care of our luggage and valet parked the car. They explained everything we needed to know and from then on were very unobtrusive. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food was incredible and the onsen was wonderful. We paid a little extra to reserve the private family onsen for an hour to be able to bathe together as a couple. We walked all around the property in their grounds which were also lovely.
